Our Core Values

Our core values are respect, maturity and purpose. Maturity sets the foundation for our core values. This entails age in the obvious sense, but more importantly it encompasses the level of patience, tact, objectivity and willingness to accept constructive criticism that defines a mature player. This applies to everyone in the guild equally.

Mutual respect will protect the integrity of the Dream Team and its members, and guildmembers are expected to act in a respectable manner to others both within and outside the guild. We feel strongly regarding the integrity of our guild and will fiercely protect the positive culture we strive to achieve. Demeaning comments, whether racial, religious, sexual, etc. are unacceptable.

Our sense of purpose will drive us to success. We all share the desire to participate in the content the game has available for us, and this drives us forward. Although this guild is not considered a hardcore raiding guild in terms of raiding frequency, we expect people to know their class well and be forward-looking so we can get to and accomplish the end game goals via a regular raiding schedule.

Raiding With the Dream Team

The Dream Team is a raiding guild first and foremost. Our goal is to conquer every end game instance in the Burning Crusade expansion. It is important that our members share this passion as it will be a driving force in our efforts to achieve success. As such, we expect our members to be fully available to raid on their scheduled nights with consistency. We understand that real life happens and there may be times when you can't raid with us. Our availability forum has been set up for that reason and we ask you to utilize them. For the most part, by joining our team you are normally available to raid with us on your team's posted raid nights.

With that said, we are not a hardcore raiding guild. We do not raid 5-7 nights a week, but we will use some of the disciplines that hardcore guilds use to succeed (ie: effective communication, teamwork, time management, determination, focus, and persistence).

We start our raids on-time or we cancel the raid. This is because we highly value and respect our members' time. Raids will be canceled by the Raid Leader 20 minutes after the scheduled Pull time. The last thing we want is to have half a raid ready to pull on time only to wait around wasting our members precious time waiting for more people to log on. We all have more important (fun) things to do than that. If you know you’re going to be late to a raid, please let us know how late you will be in our availability forum.

Progression Raid Schedule: Wednesday, Thursday, and Sunday.
Raid Time: 9p-12a

Ranking System

ALT - An alternate character of a member who has a main character in the guild.

INITIATE - Probationary status lasting three weeks.

CASUAL - A member with a main in the developmental stages of becoming ready for 25man raiding.

RAIDER - A member with a main that is 25man raid ready.

OFFICER - A member of the governing body of the guild.

GUILD MISTRESS - The right hand of the Guild Master.

GUILD MASTER - The poor sap who got suckered into running this rag tag bunch of misfits.

Main/Al Policy

It is important that our members play their main character during our raids due to the relationship between TBC faction reputation system and the key/attunement requirements of the raid encounters. Members may have as many Alts as they want in the guild as long as their main's name is listed in the comment section for the guild to know who they are. Otherwise it would be very difficult to keep track of who people are as the guild size increases. Let's make it easy on ourselves.

Loot Distribution

The Earned Points/Gear Points system is our adopted loot distribution system. Effort Points quantify the effort each member put towards the (common) guild goals and Gear Points quantify what each member got back in return. Loot priority is computed as the quotient of the two; priority (PR) is equal to EP divided by GP, or PR=EP/GP. Click here for more info. If an item drops that someone would like to roll on solely for the purpose of bettering their ability to PVP, the officers will determine if that item can be used to strengthen the guild towards raiding first. If it does not, the item will be open to roll on by anyone who can use it.
